Description
The encoder module HC-020k allows you to measure the rotation of Smart Car motor with a disc with 20 different positions. Each of these positions is dectected as pulses by the HC-020k sensor. The frequency of those pulses is directly related with the motor’s speed. The digital output with the pulses should be connected to an Arduino interrupt.
It can also be used to measure the robot’s position. Although we must know in advance that the motor rotation direction can’t be detected, so we should assume that such direction is the same as the commanded direction.
